Peter Tozzi

Peter Tozzi is a research fellow for the American Council on Women Peace and Security. He recently completed his master’s thesis on the Chinese Communist Party's use of cognitive warfare against Taiwan and the United States. He is an analyst at a policy think tank in Taipei where his research focuses on foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI), AI governance, semiconductor supply chains, and American export controls on dual-use technologies. He is a graduate of National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan and alumnus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, where he majored in National Security and Foreign Affairs and minored in Asian Studies with a particular focus on China and Taiwan. He has relative fluency in Mandarin.

At the ACWPS, Peter conducts research on human rights violations against Uyghur people committed by the Chinese Communist Party. His particular focus is on abuses against Uyghur women and children.
